Tokyo Streets

We headed to the hub of youth culture, Shibuya, to walk around and check out some of Ian's favorite record and manga stores.

It's fun to just to people watch as you ride the train and stroll about.

For lunch we hit our favorite kaiten/conveyor-belt sushi joint.  The sushi chefs make sushi and place it on a conveyor belt that circles through the diner-like seating.  You take what you want and pay by the plate.

Alec learned his first Japanese phrase, "More shrimp without wasabi please!" He awed and amazed fellow diners with his prodigious shrimp-eating appetite.  The sushi chefs couldn't get out the shrimp fast enough. Unfortunately for those diners sitting downstream from us not a single shrimp came their way.

They kids are already begging to go back.
